Noël James Biography

Noël comes from a research background, and joins HTF with several years’ experience in the heritage sector. She has a particular interest in the built environment and is keen to promote partnership working across all areas of historic towns. Noël gained her Doctorate in Medieval History from the University of York in 1999, and has published widely on Medieval Law, Landscape History, Social History and Historical Geography. In addition she has a business background from 3 years’ work with The Prince’s Trust, and latterly has gained valuable heritage policy experience as Arts & Cultural Policy Advisor at a Regional Development Agency. She is keen to continue the work of the Forum.
