With its long and wide experience of Tourism in historic towns, the Forum has been asked to participate in a conference to be held in Youghal in the Republic of Ireland on 13/14 May. The value of tourism to the local economy and how best to manage destinations, with examples of good practice in Ireland, England and Europe as well as work carried out by the European Association of Historic Towns and Regions on Sustainability Indicators will be included in an exciting programme. | |||

The historic built environment may be able to offer lessons as well as present challenges.
