The HTF Annual Conference 2009

The Programme

Heritage protection, heritage assets, conservation areas at risk, the value of townscape, are all high on the agenda at present. This conference will bring together expert witnesses, good practice case studies and recent research to support practitioners and decision makers.

The charismatic provocateur, Wayne Hemingway, will open the conference which will also include visits to key venues in the region which demonstrate the vital contribution of heritage to the economy and quality of life of the area.

A range of cases studies will illustrate good practice in the strategic approaches which can lead to vibrant and viable places.

The Programme also includes a session run by The Academy of Urbanism on its 'Learning from Place' programme, which includes The Academy's Awards and UniverCities programmes.
